GDT CHARISMA CARDZ - WEEK 26

Hello all my faithful followers! Hope you've been enjoying the lovely weather we're having here in the UK. Can you believe it's almost Thursday already and you know what that means, another challenge over at Charisma Cardz woohooo! This week the theme has been chosen by the lovely Faye and she wants to see you use metal somewhere on your card so I chose to use a charm. My dp's are a mixture again of DCWV and co-ordinations. The gorgeous image is a new digi release from Sugar Nellie, available from Funky Kits. Isn't she just too sweet? I have coloured her in with Promarkers, used glitter on her top and glossy accents on her shoes and bows in her hair. I also decided to use some flat backed pearls to accent the flowers on her head. The ribbon, charm and butterfly are from my stash and the blooms as always are from Wild Orchid Crafts and have had a glimmer mist treatment.
I have followed the sketch from The Sugar Bowl so I'll be entering my card there this week as well as the following :
Dare U 2 Digi Stamp - Blooms & Butterflies
One Stop Craft - Pink & Brown
A pocket full of Posies - One for the girls
Thanks for taking the time once again to view my work and please do come and join us over at Charisma. Lotsa luv xxxx

My card this morning is made to enter into the Just Magnolia Challenge which is to follow a lovely sketch by the uber talented Bev. All my dp's are DCWV "Nana's Kitchen" stack and are soooo lush, highly glittered and embossed, I just luv them. The pearl brads are from the hobby house.

I have taken this pic at an angle for you to see the dimension on my card and the wavy sentiment. I nicked this idea from my highly talented and dearest friend Paola. Please do pop over to her blog and check out her fabulous work.
I'm also going to be entering my card into A Spoon full of Sugar Challenge - Best Wishes and Bunny Zoe's - Nice and Girly. Morning all my faithful followers. Wooohooooo, I'm so excited to be writing this post as it's my first dt card with Totally Papercrafts and time for a new challenge so please do pop over and join in the fun with us. There is a fab prize up for grabs from Simon Says Stamp, so be sure not to miss out. This week we want to see easel cards for the boys, so what are you waiting for? For my card I have used this gorgeous digi from Mo's digital called video boy. When I saw him I knew instinctively that I had to have him as he looks exactly like my son and even sits like him lol! He is an X Box junkie hehe and his birthday is tomorrow so what perfect timing for making his card. I have coloured him in with Promarkers and cut him out with nesties. My dps are a combination of co ordinations and Tim Holtz and I have slightly distressed the edges. The little wooden buttons I bought at the NEC craft show from button it and the sentiment I made using single letter alphabet stamps. I also did some faux stitching with a silver glitter pen. Here is a close up of my son lol!!
As this is one of Mo's designs I'm going to enter my card into the DP2 Challenge which is "Anything goes". Thanks for popping by and don't forget to come and join us over here. I have joined the nicest team of ladies ever and I'm so happy and honoured that they asked me to be part of their team!! Thanks Emma. Lotsa luv xxxx

Her shoes I coated with glossy accents but it's not showing up too well in the pic. My dps are Tim Holtz and boy are they lush, I didn't even wanna cut them up hehe. The swirl I have made using a bazzill in stitch template and self adhesive stones. The ribbon and charm are from my stash and the gorgeous flowers are from the one and only Wild Orchid Crafts.

I have matted and layered everything using co ordinations card stock. The buttons are from my stash and I have layed over some organza ribbon. I have also used some card candy from craftwork cards. Fathers Day Card Number 2

Good Evening again! Another quickie post from me. This is the card I made for my boys to give to their Dad today. I have used DCWV papers again and distressed all the edges. The stars were cut out with a die thru the cuttlebug and the sentiment was a freebie which I got a little while back and for the life of me can't remember who from (sorry, hope I'm not offending anyone by not being able to credit them). This gorgeous little Spider Henry was a freebie too from Whiff of Joy and when I saw him I knew I had to use him for Fathers Day lol! I have coloured him in with Promarkers.
I'm gonna enter my card into the following challenges :
Crafty cardmakers - Cards for men
Creative Inspirations - One for the boys
Fab 'n Funky - Just for Dad
Stampin' Royalty - Masculine theme#
One Stop Crafts - One for the boys
Have a great evening. Until tomorrow, lotsa luv xxxx

Fathers Day Card

Good Evening all my wonderful Blogging Buddies! Hope you've had a good weekend. Mine was hectic, rushed off my feet so I'm just doing a quick post this evening as I'm shattered and feel I need an earlies for a change lol! This is the card I made for my Hubby for fathers day. Isn't this image great for a male card, he's a freebie from Kenny K that I found on Friday, just in time hehe. I have followed the sketch over at Passion for Promarkers so I'll be entering my card there. The dps are DCWV but sadly from this pic you can't see the glitter on the striped paper. If you click on the pic you'll get a close up where you'll be able to see the lush paper. I also used Papermania glimmer chalks around the image and sentiment, used eyelets on each corner and threaded some string thru the buttons. The sentiment is a computer generated one. Here is the close up of the golf pro lol. I just luv the expression on his face!

I'll also enter this one into the following challenges :
Crafty Cardmakers - Cards for men
Creative Inspirations - One for the boys
Fab 'n Funky - Just for Dad

GDT Charisma Cardz Challenge - All about Bling!!

Morning all the bodies hehe! It's Thursday already so that only means one thing, time for a new challenge over at Charisma Cardz . This week it is ALL ABOUT BLING so do come and join us. You can use as much glitter, stickles, gems or whatever you fancy as long as it blings lol! The card I have made is using the gorgeous Tilda and Edwin from the wedding collection, aren't they just gorgeous? My dps are Papermania Confetti Stack as well as glitter card behind the image and coordinations which I have distressed. I used stickles again around the dps and glitter card. The swirl I have made using flat backed pearls from the hobbyhouse and a bazzill in stitch template which I learnt from Bev Rochester who did a tutorial on the Whiff of Joy website a while back. The flowers are all from Wild Orchid Crafts and they got the full glimmer mist treatment and finally, the ribbon is from my stash.

Here is a close up of the little darlings. I have coloured them in using Promarkers and stickles on her dress and flowers. Was going to leave her dress and his shirt white but at the last minute decided to go with Sandstone and Satin, not too sure if I'm happy with the end result but nevermind loads of time to try again and again hehe! Oops I almost forgot to mention the obvious lol that I also used the MS doily lace punch.

I have followed the sketch from Sketch Saturday so I will be entering my card there. It also fits the bill for Stamp Something which is "Happy Somethings" as well as for Magnolia Down Under. Thanks for taking the time to view my card and for any comments you may wish to leave. Lotsa luv xxxx

Just Magnolia + Sir Stampalot Challenges

Evening All!! Hope you're all well. I know I've been a terrible buddy lately but things have just gone a bit hectic and hopefully I'm now back on track so I'll be able to visit you all soon. I have made this card to enter into the Just Magnolia Challenge which was to follow a lovely sketch by the very talented Mina. I will also be entering it into the Sir Stampalot Challenge which is "Punch it Out" and that is exactly what I did with the butterflies. Apologies in advance for the long post but I find it rather difficult to photograph an easel card so I have uploaded quite a few pics hehe. This is a close up of the gorgeous Tilda from the fairytale collection and I'm quite embarassed to say it's the first time I've inked her up. Isn't she just the sweetest?! I have coloured her in with Promarkers, cut out with nesties and inked around the edges. The pearls are from the hobbyhouse. The ribbon / lace thingy is from Dunelm but have had in my stash for ages lol!

This is the bottom of the easel card and I have used a sentiment stamp from Personal Impressions and cut out with nesties again. The butterflies are punched out with and MS punch and I have added pearls also from the hobbyhouse.

Sideways view - I was hoping you would be able to see the butterflies that I cut out from the dp and layered on top with the wings up. The dps are all DCWV "Garden Party" Stack and are so beautifully glittered.

Thanks for stopping by and for any comments you wish to leave. They are all truly appreciated. Have a fab evening. Lotsa luv xxxx

Just Magnolia Challenge - Lace Borders

Hi All!! I'm back again with my second post for the day! I have made this card to enter into the Special Monthly Challenge over at Just Magnolia which is to use a lace border. I chose to do the border around the image, not too clear in this pic but a bit better in the close up. I have coloured Tilda in with Promarkers and used a nestie to cut her out. The dps used are all Magnolia papers.

Here is the close up of her, I think she looks so very elegant in her long dress. The flower she is holding and the band in her hair I have covered with glossy accents and I've used stickles on her dress too. I have slightly distressed the edges of the backing paper. The lace is from my stash, I think it was bought from Dunelm. The flowers are all Wild Orchid Crafts and I have sprayed them with glimmer mist. The leaves were punched out with an MS punch.

Thanks for stopping by once again. Lotsa luv xxxx

GDT CHARISMA CARDZ

Morning all my faithful supporters!
Can't believe it's Thursday already and that means only one thing, another fab challenge for you over at Charisma Cardz. This week we would like to see you use Spots & Stripes on your project. I have used a digi image called Sparkles from Stichy Bear Stamps, I think she is so gorgeous don't you? I have coloured her in with Promarkers and blinged her up with stickles deluxe.

You can see the sparkle better in this close up image. My dps are both DCWV "glitter stack". You might possibly need to put your shades on for all the bling lol. I also distressed the edges a little.

In this photo you can see that I have popped her wings up, thanks to my darling friend Paola where I learnt this trick. I cut her out with a nestie. The ribbon is from my stash and the cherry blossoms from Wild Orchid Crafts.

I will be entering my card into the following challenges : A spoon full of sugar, Create 4 fun, Cupcake Craft, Passion for Promarkers, Stamp Something and the Creative Cottage.
Thanks for popping over and please be sure to join in the fun over at Charisma

PFP Challenge - Books

Morning all my lovely blogging buddies! Well, here goes another week. Can't believe how the time just seems to fly past. I had such a lovely weekend, we drove thru to Wales on Saturday to support our team The Springboks or "Bokke" as we call them in the rugby. It was just brilliant, I've never been to an international game before and I thoroughly enjoyed myself! They'll be back in November so needless to say Wales will see me again hehe! Anyway, onto my card for today - I will be entering it into the Passion for Promarkers Challenge which has the theme of books this week. I have used the ever so cute Harvard from Mo's Digital and coloured him in using Promarkers.

Here is the close up, isn't he just soooo sweet? Or nerdy as my boys say lol!

I have added an extra pic of the colouring pencils I made using toothpicks. Thanks to the ever so talented Jak Heath who I saw do this about a week ago and asked if she would mind if I tried it out. So why don't you pop on over to her blog and check out her fab works.

Hope you all have wonderful day and I'll be back again real soon with my next project. Lotsa luv xxxx

One for the Boyz!!!

Evening All!! WOWZER, can you believe I'm back again hehe. Three posts in one day, that's a first and hopefully not a last lol! Had to make this card in a bit of a hurry as my darling son informed me it was a friends birthday today and he wanted to go over so naturally I couldn't let him go empty handed could I? I have used the gorgeous "Rock Idol" by Sugar Nellie and coloured him in with Promarkers. Fortunately for me the dp's are Rock Star by DCWV and don't need to be jazzed up too much, so all I did was some distressing and used another piece as a mat for the image. The little wooden guitar I purchased from a stall at the NEC back in March and I just threaded some twine through. Here is the close up :

I have popped him up on some foam pads to add a bit of dimension and used Papermania Shimmer chalk around the edges. Didn't turn out too bad but I would have preferred to think it through without being pressurised hehe. Thanks for popping over again. Have a lovely evening. Until tomorrow ..... Lotsa luv xxxx

Happy Anniversary to Hubby and Me!!

Morning again hehe!! Can you believe, this is my second post for the day and it's only 09h00, not bad going huh? I've woken up on a high this morning as firstly I've had my very first gdt post, secondly it's my anniversary (15 years) and thirdly I've just seen that I won last weeks challenge over at the Colour Create Challenge blog. Well they say everything happens in threes so is that mine for the day lol?! Made this card last night for the hubby, hope it's not too girly with all the pink but I must say I did omit the flowers which killed me hehe. I've used the fab sketch from Card Patterns after seeing it on the lovely Emma Woods blog, thanks Emma!! The cute image I found on the colouring pages called precious moments and thought they looked just like hubby and me lol so had to use them.

I have mounted the image on 3d foam to add some dimension and embossed the mat behind the image with music notes. Coloured in with Promarkers. The lovely dp's are by Papermania "Confetti" collection and I have distressed the edges slightly. Ribbon, button and sentiment stamp all from my stash. Have a wonderful day all, we have loads of sunshine here woohooo so it's gonna be a glorious day, hope the sun's shining wherever you are too. Lotsa luv xxxxx
